Vogue display replacement: which display do you have, and is it really broken?
Has the display on your Vogue stopped switching on, does the screen stay black, or is there an error code? It's often not the display itself. Here's what to check first, how to tell which Vogue display you have, and where to order an original display.

UKC3 OR UKS2
Which Vogue display is on your bike?
Many Vogue e-bikes have a UKC3 or a UKS2 display. You can tell them apart by the buttons and by the model of your bike:
| UKC3 (also called "C3 display") | UKS2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Found on models such as | Basic, Elite, Tri-Velo, Superior, Troy, Easy Go | Premium, Comfort, Mestengo |
| Buttons | Power, plus and minus | Power, plus, minus and an M button |
| Screen | Colour screen (IPS) | LCD screen |
| Manual | UKC3 manual | UKS2 manual |
Both displays communicate with the bike via UART and use the same display cable (Vogue display cable UKC3/UKS2, 1940 mm).
Does your display look different, or are you not sure? Compare your display with the photos in the manual, or send us a photo.
UNIVERSAL DISPLAYS
Does any display fit a Vogue?
No. A display talks to your bike's controller in a fixed "language". On the UKC3 and UKS2 that is UART. A universal display with the same plug may use a different protocol, or wire the pins differently. Then the display won't switch on, or it shows error code 0x30 (communication fault) because the display and the bike don't understand each other.
With the original UKC3 or UKS2 display you know it fits and works with your Vogue.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Display won't switch on? Check these four things first
- Is the battery switched on and seated properly? A display only comes on when the battery supplies power. Click the battery back in place and check that it's charged.
- Hold the power button long enough. Both displays switch on when you hold the Power button for 1 second. The display switches itself off after a few minutes without riding (5 minutes by default).
- Check the display cable and plug. A loose plug, a kinked cable or moisture in the plug is a common cause. With error code 0x30 (communication fault) the problem is often here.
- Look at the error code. If there's a code on the screen, it tells you where the problem is:
| Code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 0x21 | Current fault | Controller faulty |
| 0x22 | Throttle fault | Check the throttle cable and plug |
| 0x23 | Motor phase failure | Check the motor cables |
| 0x24 | Hall sensor fault | Check the Hall cables and plugs |
| 0x25 | Brake fault | Check the brake lever |
| 0x30 | Communication fault | Check cable, plug and sensors; then display or controller |
Only with 0x30, and when all the cables are fine, can the display itself be faulty. The full steps are in the manual: UKC3 · UKS2.
Resetting the display
On the UKC3 you can restore the factory settings via the settings menu (press Power twice quickly). On the UKS2, holding plus and minus together for 1 second clears the trip data. After a reset, set the wheel size correctly again, or the speed won't be right.

DIY OR HAVE IT DONE
Can you replace a Vogue display yourself?
Replacing a display usually means unscrewing the old display, disconnecting the plug and connecting the new one. Two things to watch:
- Don't overtighten the clamp. Damage from overtightening isn't covered by the warranty.
- After connecting, check the settings, especially the wheel size.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About Vogue displays
First check that the battery is charged and properly in place, and hold the Power button for 1 second. Still nothing? Then check the display cable and the plug.
If your display has a separate M button, it's a UKS2. Only Power, plus and minus: then it's a UKC3. Does your display look different? Send us a photo.
A communication fault between the display and the bike. Usually a loose plug or a damaged cable, sometimes a sensor. Only when all of that is fine is the display or the controller faulty.
Warranty claims go through the shop where you bought your Vogue. Has the warranty expired? Then you can order a new display from us, or go to one of our service points.

What our customers say
Knowledge center focused on total service and sharing know-how also of special electric bikes. They offer not only a listening ear but also the willingness to think along in solutions. They certainly do not shy away from difficulties. Where other companies gave up, they found the solution. Great service! Highly recommended.
Yesterday afternoon a technician from Ebikepartners was here to help me with the repair of quite a few Stella bikes. Everything went fantastically well, super service. Customers can be satisfied again.
What a fantastic company Ebikepartners is—founded by Gert. I received a warm welcome there with coffee, and they expertly diagnosed the problems with my Stella Copenhague. I was able to head home happy with a bike that worked perfectly. Kudos to Peter for his kindness and expertise.
