About this battery
This manual applies to the Phylion SlimFit 1.1, 2.0 and 2.1 batteries you buy from Ebikepartners. Read it carefully before using the battery for the first time and keep it with your bike. That way you get the most out of your battery and it lasts as long as possible.

Safety
Do not charge or use a damaged battery. Do you see a dent, crack, deformation or leakage, or does the battery smell strange? Contact us.
- Only use the charger that belongs to the battery.
- Only charge in a dry, covered space and on a hard, non-flammable surface.
- Do not leave the battery unattended while charging and do not cover it.
- Do not charge the battery right after it has been in bright sun or freezing cold. Let it reach room temperature first.
- Do not open the battery and do not try to repair it yourself.
- Keep the contacts and the charging port clean and dry. Keep metal objects away from them.
- Do not expose the battery to open fire, heat above 50 °C or prolonged bright sunlight.
- Never clean the battery with a pressure washer and do not submerge it in water.
- Keep the battery and the charger out of the reach of children.
Fitting and removing the battery
Always switch off the bike's system first before you fit or remove the battery.
Removing
- Switch off the bike.
- Put the key in the battery lock and turn it a quarter turn.
- Take the battery out of the holder.
Fitting
- Check that the contacts of the battery and the holder are clean and dry.
- Slide the battery into the holder until you hear it click into place.
- Turn the key back and remove it from the lock.
- Check that the battery is firmly in place before you ride.
Always put a removed battery down on a clean surface. Make sure no sand or soil gets on the contacts or the charging port.
Charging
Fully charge the battery before using it for the first time, so you get the full capacity. You can charge it on the bike or separately.
- Press the power button on the battery. If the lights come on, the battery is active.
- First plug the charger into the wall socket, then insert the charging plug straight into the battery's charging port.
- While charging, the light on the charger is red. When the battery is full, it turns green.
- Remove the charging plug from the battery first, then unplug the charger from the wall socket.
The battery only charges between 0 °C and 40 °C. The temperature monitoring in the battery takes care of this. Is it not charging? Let it reach room temperature first.
You don't need to run the battery flat first. Charging after every ride is fine. Don't leave the battery on the charger for days once it is full.
Range and lifespan
Range
How far you get on a full battery depends on how and where you ride. Your range is shorter with:
- a high assist level;
- headwind, hills and a lot of accelerating;
- extra weight, such as luggage or a child seat;
- soft tyres;
- temperatures of 10 °C or lower.
Lifespan
A battery is a wear part. Each year the capacity drops by about 10% on average, even if you treat it well. That is normal and not a defect. You notice it because your range slowly gets shorter.
This is how to make your battery last longer:
- Charge it regularly and don't leave it completely empty.
- Charge and store it at room temperature.
- Don't leave it in full sun or freezing cold for long periods.
Maintenance, storage and transport
Cleaning
Clean the battery with a slightly damp cloth. Keep the contacts and the charging port free of dirt, sand and moisture.
Not riding for more than a month
- Charge the battery to 30–70%. Never store it empty or completely full.
- Hold the power button for 25 seconds. The battery then goes into sleep mode and drains more slowly.
- Store the battery separately from the bike in a dry place at room temperature.
- Check the charge level every 2 to 3 months and top it up to 30–70% if needed.
Ready to ride again? Connect the battery to the charger for a few seconds. This wakes it from sleep mode.
Transporting your bike
Always remove the battery from the holder when you carry the bike on a bike rack or in a car. Take it with you separately in the car. This spares the rack and protects the battery from rain and dirt.
Faults
If there is a fault, LED 5 on the battery lights up and one of the other LEDs flashes for 5 seconds. Look up the pattern below.
LED 5 LED 1
Power button
LED 5 is the light furthest from the power button. LED 1 is right next to it.
| Fault | LED 5 | LED 4 | LED 3 | LED 2 | LED 1 | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Temperature too high | On | Off | Off | Off | Flashes 5 s | Let the battery cool down to room temperature and try again. |
| Cell voltage too high | On | Off | Off | Flashes 5 s | Off | Disconnect the charger and contact us. |
| Cell voltage too low | On | Off | Flashes 5 s | Off | Off | Charge the battery. If the message remains, contact us. |
| Charging problem | On | Flashes 5 s | Off | Off | Off | Check the charger, plug and charging port. Only use the original charger. |
Battery not charging? Check whether it is in sleep mode, whether the light on the charger is on and whether the temperature is between 0 °C and 40 °C.

Warranty and disposal
Warranty
You get 2 years of warranty on the battery from the date of purchase. Your statutory rights also continue to apply. Keep your proof of purchase.
Did you take out the warranty extension when you bought the battery? Then you get 3 years of warranty. You can find the conditions on the page battery warranty extension.
Normal capacity loss of about 10% per year is wear and is not covered by the warranty. Damage caused by a fall, water, opening the battery or using a different charger is not covered either.
Report a problem via support@ebikepartners.com. Include your order number and a short description.
Disposal
Never throw an old battery away with household waste. Take it to a bike shop, a recycling centre or a battery collection point. That way it is recycled responsibly.
