This freewheel is intended for Shengyi front wheel motors of type 1310 DGW10. Suitable as a replacement part in case of wear or defect of the original freewheel.

Preparation

Follow the steps below to correctly disassemble the motor.

Note: this action is performed with the motor clamped in a vise for extra stability.

Disassembling the motor (1310)

1. Remove the cover cap

Loosen the three Torx screws that secure the cover cap of the motor.
Carefully remove the cap to avoid damage to the components.

2. Disassemble the motor cover

Use the special motor key (see image) to unscrew the cover from the motor.
Place the key on the teeth as shown in the third image below.

3. Loosen the wheel

Turn the wheel in the opposite direction of the riding direction to loosen the cover.

Setting the freewheel mechanism

Before the motor is placed back in the housing, it is important that the freewheel mechanism is correctly aligned. Follow the steps below for this.

1. Use the freewheel tool

Place the freewheel tool on the freewheel mechanism.
Center the marking of the freewheel on the black stripes of the tool for correct alignment.

2. Placement on the motor

Place the entire assembly on the motor and pay close attention to the cutout and any spacers. Make sure everything fits neatly.

3. Lubricating the freewheel mechanism

Apply a thin layer of assembly paste to the freewheel mechanism.

Note: do not use too much paste — a thin, even distribution is sufficient. A well-aligned and lightly lubricated freewheel mechanism prevents wear and ensures quiet operation.

Reinstalling the motor in the housing

1. Reinstall the motor in the housing

Carefully and correctly align the motor back into the housing.

2. Secure the entire assembly firmly

Tighten the motor well with the right tools, so that it sits firmly and without play in the housing.

Check that no parts have been forgotten and that everything is correctly aligned for optimal operation.
