Things moved quickly over the past week: on August 5, Accell Group filed for a stay of payments, and on August 11, the Amsterdam District Court declared the company bankrupt. The bankruptcy trustees are now investigating whether (parts of) the company behind Batavus, Sparta, Koga, and Babboe can continue operations.
Understandably, this raises questions—among service partners and e-bike owners alike. Will parts remain available? Who will handle warranties and service? At Ebikepartners, we receive these questions daily through our support channels, and we want to be clear about what we can do about them.
What this means for you
Whether or not Accell continues operations, our commitment remains unchanged. As an independent parts and service platform, we are not dependent on the manufacturer—we ensure that repair shops and owners of Batavus, Sparta, Koga, and Babboe e-bikes can continue as usual.
For a large portion of these e-bikes, we already have parts available directly from stock, including:
- Batteries and battery chargers
- Displays and controls
- Specific wiring and motors
How it works
- Check if your part is already listed in our online store.
- Not listed (yet)? Contact us—our technical team will work with you to find a suitable alternative or compatible solution.
- We’ll be expanding this selection step by step over the coming weeks, so you can plan ahead with confidence.
Without access to these parts, repairs are delayed and customers are left without a working bike. That’s exactly

As enthusiasts of the e-bike industry, we sincerely hope that these brands have a bright future ahead, with or without a relaunch. In the meantime, we’ll continue to do what we do best: ensuring that every e-bike, regardless of brand, can get back on the road as quickly as possible.
